FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, these events are aimed at everybody. As a Go Tri event, we are creating accessible duathlons suitable for all abilities.
The event is open to anyone over the age of 15.
As long as your bike is road legal, you can ride any bike you own. Mountain, road, time trial, even shoppers with baskets.
Registration will open at 8am the morning of the event. Get yourself registered, then take your bike and anything else you need to transition. Transition will be manned at all times and only athletes with race numbers will be permitted entry.
The first athletes will start at 09:00 and groups of 10 – 20 will start every 15 seconds thereafter. We aim to have as many athletes on the course at the same time as possible. This will reduce hanging around before and after the event and will also help create a great atmosphere on the course.

I have really enjoyed Manchester Airport Duathlon few weeks ago. This was the first race after a very long time for me so I was a bit nervous but the atmosphere was very relaxed and that put me in ease. Short distances were just enough to challenge myself. Lovely cycling route around countryside as well. Thanks for organising great simple event.

They are perfect for beginners, right through to experienced triathletes. The events are extremely friendly and very relaxed. They are a great mix between fun and competition.

Both events are run brilliantly. The bike routes on both take place on two amazingly scenic courses. The events offer something for everyone. Very accessible to people dipping their toes into multi sport events for the first time, to having a great option for seasoned athletes.
